Profile

Thom started having piano lessons when he turned 7, with the promise that he would be bought a piano upon completing his Grade 1. From this point on, he has never looked back. Despite problems reading sheet music, Thom learnt pieces from recordings, and developed an exceptional musical ear.

Studying classical music, alongside jazz and more modern approaches, gave Thom a diverse range of musical influences to incorporate into his own compositions. The styles range from 1940-esque Swing, to Electronica, Funk, Ambient, Jazz and Classical, and he thrives on the constant challenges new commissions conjure up.

Having graduated in music with 1st Class Honours in 2006, Thom now looks to further his career working in a recording studio, whilst continuing to compose music for commercial use. He has already had works exhibited in the London Film Festival ‘No Right Turn’, and has more writing jobs lined up.
